West Barn Lodge overview
West Barn Lodge came to Blue Bee with one goal in mind, creating a luxury brand identity to spread the word about their new exceptional lodge accommodation. This included creating a cohesive brand package to promote a strong image and link between the logo, printed collateral and the website.
What we delivered
Beautiful architecture
West Barn Lodge had a unique idea in mind for their brand-new logo design. They wanted to show off the beautiful, rustic architecture of the building that really is a selling point of the lodge. What better way to do that than in the logo itself! We were tasked with the fun project of recreating the lodge in a more simplistic and stripped back way whilst still retaining the key features of the building.
After a few back and forth concept discussions with the client, the final logo featured a line drawing of the building with solid brickwork sections to really draw your eye to those elements and give the icon more depth. The prominent door archway draws your eye into the centre of the design, for which we increased the level of filled colour to purposefully attract the attention of the viewer, playfully and naturally leading the line of sight down to the company name.
The full package
After completing the unique logo design, we moved on to designing a brand pack for West Barn Lodge that consisted of; a brand guidelines document, business card designs, social media banners and an A5 promotional flyer. Creating this package together meant we could ensure brand consistency across the board from day 1, and that the client would have an array of items to start promoting the lodge as soon as they could whilst we worked on the website.
Throughout the designs, we brought in the brick elements from the logo as stand-alone graphics. The subtle introduction of these bricks in the design work meant that they would soon become recognisable as part of the West Barn Lodge brand as a whole, so without needing to see the logo you would know the recognise the company.
Multifunctional Website
The team at West Barn Lodge knew that they wanted the new website design to be as informative as possible, whilst still showing off the incredible interior and exterior of the building as well as being able to let people book their stay online! We wanted to make sure the customer journey through the website was at the forefront of the design, making sure getting to book your stay or finding out more information about the lodge was never more than two clicks away.
We included as many call to action buttons and icons as possible for people to navigate through the site and made sure the main menu was as comprehensive as it could be, keeping dropdowns to a minimum.
We integrated an existing external booking system the client wanted to use into the site seamlessly so the customer would never be directed away from West Barn Lodge to book their stay, therefore ensuring less confusion and fewer people dropping off the website. The website features the beautiful photography as often as possible, making use of the space with parallax imagery, slider/featured image sections across the pages as well as an image gallery on the contact page.
