An interview with Jon

What attracted you to work for Blue Bee?

Being a well-known Marketing Agency around Salisbury, I have always been impressed by the work that Blue Bee have done for local companies and businesses.

I didn’t have a lot of design or editing experience when I first applied for the Digital Project Manager role but Mark highlighted my Project Management skills in my previous employment and thought it would be a great idea to learn off other colleagues to allow me to grow within my role.

The team here are fantastic and we always look out for each other. We always give feedback and credit when it is due.

What do you enjoy most about your role as a Digital Project Manager?

Building relationships with clients and the various sectors that we support. I always treat my clients the same and make sure I drop in an email or call if we haven’t spoken for a little while. It’s really an eye opener on what other businesses offer and how they want Blue Bee to showcase their work.

I also love the design elements of the website phase. We have a super talented design team here and watching them create a new website off one scope meeting blows my mind!

Which projects did you enjoy working on the most and are most proud of?

I don’t mean to sound cliche but I am proud of them all. Each project that I have seen through has taught me a new lesson which I then like to implement on the next project. Projects like Spaceway and Puma Air & Fire where I got involved towards the end of the project, allowed me to learn processes and what may need to be done differently next time.

Stonehenge Courtyard is a gorgeous website (incredible design by Katie). It was one of our first FSE WordPress builds and the client was very kind to leave wonderful feedback. We have a lot of new projects which are coming to a close and will be available for the world to see, which I am super proud of.

What challenges and trends do you foresee to web development and design over the next few years

Everyone is aware of the incredible impact AI is having in today’s world. It can handle a wide range of tasks, from creating logos and content to developing websites. However, the challenge lies in attracting customers to choose our services over AI solutions.

The benefits of using Blue Bee include personalised human interaction and the ability to build a website tailored to the client’s specific needs. By choosing Blue Bee, you will stand out in the market, as AI-generated work often lacks the unique touch that differentiates your business.

What sets Blue Bee apart from the competition when you are looking for a new website?

We craft bespoke websites that perfectly match your unique needs and goals, so no cookie-cutter templates here! Plus, they optimise your site to climb the search engine ranks, making sure your audience finds you easily.
